The Risen King Sends Us

Hey Planter,

Just a couple of weeks ago, thousands upon thousands of people gathered in Send Network churches to hear the gospel. In many of those gatherings, men and women heard the good news of Jesus with fresh ears. In some of your churches, this was your very first Easter Sunday as a church plant. What a gift from God. What a reminder that the message we preach is not advice, not inspiration, and not religious tradition. It is the glorious announcement that Jesus Christ has died, risen, and reigns.

And that is why Easter is not a finish line. It is the starting line.

The resurrection of Jesus does not simply give us something to celebrate once a year. It sets the church in motion. The risen Christ declared that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him, and then He sent His people into the entire world. The resurrection led to the Great Commission.

The empty tomb was not the end of the story. It was the beginning of a gospel advance that is still unfolding right now in neighborhoods, towns, and cities across North America.

That means the mission you are living out is not fragile. It is not dependent on hype, momentum, or one big Sunday. It is anchored in the authority of the risen Jesus. He has sent us. He is with us. And because He is alive and reigning, we are giving ourselves to an unstoppable mission. Every conversation, every gathering, every prayer, every sermon, every act of service, and every step of obedience matters because King Jesus is building His church.

That is why what happens after Easter matters so much. We don’t merely look back on a meaningful day. We move forward in the power of a living Savior. We celebrate the resurrection every Sunday, and we carry that hope and power with us every day into our homes, our blocks, our communities, and our cities. So, whether Easter in your church felt big or small, steady, or surprising, let it deepen your confidence in Christ and strengthen your resolve for the work ahead.

We want this newsletter to serve you well in that work. We are taking on a new format, and with it, our goal is to encourage you and help you stay in the loop on what is happening across Send Network. Because you are in Send Network Care, you will receive this email each month, and we hope it becomes a helpful touchpoint for you.

Thank you for being part of Send Network. We are grateful for you, and we are glad to be in this with you.
